Rizer in Bangladesh Buyer's guide

How to choose the best software company in Bangladesh for your project.

This guide sets out how to compare candidates for the best software company in Bangladesh for your project: 8 checks to run, the red flags that predict a failed build, and what to ask for in writing. After each check we show Rizer's own evidence, taken from 3 systems we built for the Bangladeshi market: an IELTS mock test platform, a phone store and an online shop. 8+ years, 120+ projects, rated 4.9 from 50+ reviews.

Start with working software

Ask to see a system that is running today.

A portfolio of mockups shows design skill. A live system with real users shows that the company can finish a build and keep it working. IELTS Test BD, the online platform of British Language Club in Rajshahi, scores Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking and runs the centre from an 18-screen admin. Read the IELTS Test BD case study.

The checks

8 checks to run on every software company.

Run these on each company on your shortlist, from a large firm to a 2-person studio. Rizer's answer follows each check, so you can compare like for like.

1. Similar work, named and live

Ask for a project close to yours, with the client named and a link you can open. Ours include a test platform with AI-scored Speaking, a phone store with cash-on-delivery checkout and a custom commerce platform with courier integrations.

2. Ownership of code, data and accounts

The contract should state that you own the source code, the database and the hosting and domain accounts. Mystic Shop BD owns its code and data, and its platform hosting costs $0 a month.

3. Local payments and delivery

Software sold in Bangladesh has to handle cash on delivery, mobile wallets and couriers. Our builds include COD checkout, bKash and Nagad style payment flows, manual mobile-payment proof with admin approval, and courier integrations.

4. Input from real Bangladeshi users

Customers type phone numbers in different formats and sometimes in Bengali numerals. NextGen Mobile's checkout normalises Bengali digits and +880 numbers, and customers track orders by phone number.

5. An admin your staff can run

Ask to see the admin, not only the public screens. The IELTS Test BD admin opens on the decisions waiting: writing reviews, payments to approve and new registrations.

6. Reliability on weak connections

Mobile data drops. IELTS Test BD autosaves answers to the server and keeps a local draft, so a student returns to the same question with the same time left.

7. Who does the design, code and launch

Some companies pass design, development and marketing to separate freelancers. At Rizer, one team handles UI/UX, development, SEO and ads, so you do not need to hire 5 freelancers.

8. A written scope before a quote

A quote without a written scope cannot be compared. We hold a free 15-minute call, write down the screens, roles and integrations, then send a quote based on that scope.

Red flags

6 warning signs before you sign.

Each of these has a simple question that exposes it. Ask it in the first meeting.

A price before any questions

If a company names a figure before it knows your user roles, screens and integrations, the scope will be argued later. Ask what the price includes, screen by screen.

Code kept on their servers only

If you cannot get the repository and a database export, you cannot change companies. Ask for access to the code repository from the first week.

A platform that takes a cut of every sale

Some builds sit on a paid platform with monthly fees and sales commission. NextGen Mobile runs on its own storefront with no platform fees or commission.

No named clients you can check

Unnamed logos and screenshots cannot be verified. Our case studies name each client and show screens from the live system.

A demo shown only on a large screen

Most of your users will open the system on a phone. Ask to test the demo on your own phone over mobile data.

No plan for after launch

Bugs, new features and security updates continue after go-live. Ask who fixes problems after launch and how requests are tracked.

IELTS Test BD: 4 skills scored in 1 platform

British Language Club needed mock tests that cover Speaking, the module most online tests skip. Students record Speaking answers in the browser and receive a transcript and band estimate. Writing gets a preliminary band that an admin confirms. Students pay by mobile payment and submit proof, which staff approve in the admin.

NextGen Mobile: a phone store with no platform fees

A Rajshahi phone shop selling new and pre-owned handsets. We built a custom storefront with search that tolerates typos, a cash-on-delivery checkout that accepts Bengali numerals and normalises +880 numbers, and order tracking by phone number. The store runs with 0 runtime dependencies and pays no commission on sales.

Questions

Questions about choosing a software company.

Which is the top software company in Bangladesh?

No single company is the right fit for every project. The company to hire is the one whose past work is closest to what you need built, that can show it running, and that hands over the code and data. Use the 8 checks on this page to compare any shortlist, including Rizer.

How much does custom software cost in Bangladesh?

We do not publish prices. The cost depends on the number of user roles and screens, the admin features, payment and courier integrations, data migration and how much design work is needed. We send a quote after a free 15-minute call.

Will I own the source code and the data?

Mystic Shop BD owns its code and data, and NextGen Mobile runs on its own storefront with no platform fees or commission. Ask any company you are comparing, including Rizer, to put ownership of code, data and accounts in writing before work starts.

Do I need a software company near me in Dhaka?

No. We work remotely with businesses across Dhaka and the rest of Bangladesh, using calls, shared documents and test links for each stage. Our named Bangladesh clients are in Rajshahi, and Mystic Shop BD sells across the country.

Can you take over software another company started?

Yes. We take on redesigns and rebuilds on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or custom code. Rio Day Trip is an example: a template travel site rebuilt as a fast multilingual platform without losing its search rankings.

How long does a custom web app take to build?

It depends on scope. A full website takes about 2 to 4 weeks. A web app with user accounts, payments and an admin panel takes longer, and we give you a timeline split into stages after the discovery call.
