App development in Bangladesh App cost BD

App development cost in Bangladesh and the 9 parts that set it.

App development cost in Bangladesh depends on the platforms, the screens and user roles, the backend, the admin panel, the integrations, the store accounts and the maintenance after launch. Rizer builds Android, iOS and cross-platform apps with the server and admin behind them, and sends a written quote after a free 15-minute call.

Our evidence

We scope apps from web apps we have shipped.

Rizer has no published mobile app case study. The backend, admin and payment work that makes up much of an app's cost is the same work behind IELTS Test BD and NextGen Mobile, which run as web apps.

Cost factors

What sets the mobile app development cost in Bangladesh.

9 parts of the build decide the size of the quote. Our written quote lists each one, so you can see where the work goes.

Platforms

Android only, iOS only, or both. Both can be built as 2 native apps or from 1 cross-platform codebase. Each extra native platform adds its own build, testing and store release.

Screens

Every screen is designed, built and tested on phones of different sizes. A catalogue, cart and order history is a short list. Chat, maps or video add screens and work.

User roles

A customer app on its own is smaller than a set of apps for customers, riders and staff. Each role needs its own permissions, screens and test cases.

Backend and API

The server stores accounts, orders and content and sends them to the app. We build a new backend, or connect the app to a website or system you already run, which is less work.

Admin panel

Your staff need a place to manage products, orders, users and payments. The number of admin screens is a cost line of its own. The IELTS Test BD admin has 18 screens.

Integrations

Wallet and card payments, courier booking, SMS codes, push notifications, maps and third-party APIs. Each one is built, tested against the provider and kept working after launch.

Store accounts and release

Google Play and the Apple App Store each charge a developer account fee, paid by you to the store. Release work covers store listings, screenshots and each store's review.

Design and content

UI/UX design for each screen, plus the app icon, brand and copy. If your brand and text are ready, this part is smaller. If not, we can create them.

Maintenance

Android and iOS release new versions every year, and apps need updates to keep working on them. Fixes, hosting and new features after release are running costs.

Platform choice

Native or cross-platform, and what each costs to build and keep.

The platform route is the first cost decision. Our quote names the route we recommend and why.

Example scopes

What sets the app development price in Bangladesh for 6 common app types.

We do not publish prices. These are the parts that make each type of app larger or smaller in a quote.

Ecommerce and ordering apps

Catalogue, search, cart, cash on delivery and wallet checkout, order tracking, and an admin for products and orders. Courier booking and delivery zones add integration work.

Booking and appointment apps

Open slots, booking confirmation, reminders by SMS or notification, and a staff view of the day's bookings. Taking payment at the time of booking adds a gateway integration.

Learning and test apps

Courses, timed tests, scores and progress. Audio recording, answers saved through dropped connections and payment approval each add work, as they did on IELTS Test BD.

Delivery and rider apps

Usually 2 or 3 apps in 1 project: customer, rider and admin. Live location, maps and order status updates are the larger cost items.

Internal staff apps

Stock, attendance, field sales or approvals for your own team. There is no store marketing to prepare, but user roles and reports set the size of the build.

An app for an existing website

If your website or store already holds the products, accounts and orders, the app can read from the same backend. This is usually the smaller job, because the server and admin exist.

Web app evidence

What 3 web builds show about app costs.

These are web apps and stores, not store apps. Each holds backend and admin work an app quote also covers.

NextGen Mobile

A Rajshahi phone store with a custom storefront. Customers track an order with the phone number they ordered with, and the checkout accepts Bengali numerals and +880 numbers. A store app could use the same order data and the same phone rules.

Mystic Shop BD

A custom commerce platform for the Bangladeshi market with taka pricing, cash on delivery, local wallet payments and courier integrations. The shop owns its code and data, so a future app can connect to the same backend and admin.

Platform hosting costs $0 a month

After launch

The running costs of an app, item by item.

These costs continue while the app is live. Most are paid to third parties, not to Rizer.

Store developer accounts

Google Play charges a 1-time registration fee. Apple charges a yearly membership fee to keep apps in the App Store. Both accounts should be opened in your business name.

Server hosting and database

The backend runs on a server, and its cost grows with users, stored files and traffic. A new business app can start on a small plan.

SMS and push notifications

Login codes and order updates sent by SMS are charged per message by the SMS provider. Push notifications need their own service set up for Android and iOS.

Payment gateway fees

Wallet and card gateways charge a fee on each online payment. Cash on delivery has no gateway fee. Our payment gateway integration page covers bKash, Nagad and SSLCommerz.

Operating system updates

New Android and iOS versions can change how an app behaves, and both stores raise the minimum versions that updates must target. Testing and fixing for each release is ongoing work.

New features

Most apps add features after the first release, based on what users do. New work after launch is scoped and quoted the same way as the first build.

Spending less

4 ways to lower the cost of a first app.

Each of these reduces the work in the first quote without removing what customers need.

Launch a first release with the core features

List every feature, then pick the ones customers need on day 1. The rest go into later updates, paid for once the app has users.

Build 1 cross-platform app

For most ordering, booking and account apps, 1 shared codebase covers Android and iOS, so there is 1 codebase to maintain instead of 2.

Reuse the backend you already have

If your website or store already holds products and orders, connecting the app to it avoids paying for a second server and admin.

Consider a mobile-first web app

For a service people use now and then, a web app opened from a link needs no store download, no store accounts and no store review. IELTS Test BD works like this: students open it in the browser, with nothing to download.

Comparing quotes

How to compare app quotes from different developers.

4 checks that make 2 app quotes comparable, with Rizer's answer to each.

Quote on the same screen list

Send every developer the same list of screens, roles and integrations. Without it, a lower quote often covers fewer screens.

Check that the backend and admin are included

Some quotes cover only the app screens. Ask where the data lives and who builds the admin panel. Ours include both, or name the existing system the app will use.

Ask who owns the code and store accounts

The source code, the database and the store accounts should be in your name. Mystic Shop BD owns its code and data.

Ask to see finished builds

Each of our case studies names the client and shows screenshots of the web app or store we built. We have no published store app yet, and we tell you so before you decide.

Questions

App prices, common questions.

How is app development cost in Bangladesh calculated?

We count the platforms, screens, user roles, backend, admin panel, integrations, store accounts and release, design work and maintenance after launch. Each one is named in the written quote we send after a free 15-minute call.

Why do you not publish an app price list?

2 apps rarely share the same screens, roles and integrations, so a list price would not match the work. A quote based on your screen list tells you what your app needs.

Is an Android app cheaper to build than an iOS app?

The build work for 1 platform is similar. The cost changes with how many platforms you launch on, whether you choose 2 native apps or 1 cross-platform app, and the store fees: Google Play charges a 1-time registration fee and Apple charges a yearly membership fee.

Can I start with a web app and add a store app later?

Yes. When the backend and admin are built as their own layer, a store app can connect to the same data later. IELTS Test BD and NextGen Mobile run as web apps with their own backend and admin.

Do you have a mobile app case study?

No. Our published case studies are websites, stores and web apps. The backend, admin and payment work in IELTS Test BD, NextGen Mobile and Mystic Shop BD is the work our app quotes are based on.

How long does an app take to build?

The timeline is written into the quote once the screens and integrations are agreed. A first release with the core features reaches your customers sooner than the full feature list.
